Need Theme Suggestions for News Aggregator-style Site (not a feed poacher!)

I’d like to add a one page sub-blog to my existing site that views like an aggregator of headlines by subject (with very brief detail sentence following the headline) linking to select content i find out there on other’s sites. I’d like to tag each headline into a select few categories.

Here’s the catch. I’d like the post area (vs. sidebar, header, etc) of the blog to be (for lack of a better term) a two column table layout with rows, with each post organized into the table’s “cells” by <b>category</b>, and then each category’s content organized chronologically, most recent top down to a max of 10 headlines.

Now — that’s my dream layout, and i’ve found nothing close to it in the theme search. Does anyone know of any themes that do this?
