• New to WordPress. Could use suggestions for an easy-to-install (and use) theme for a church website (voluteers will be managing the website). Would like a few suggestions. Need a theme that would accommodate some photos, several pages, and allow for videos to be posted on the website. Thanks much.

  • There are over 1,500 free, quality reviewed, themes you can chose from at http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

Check out churchthemes.net Frankie and his team do a great job with support and has some nice free and paid options available.

Hi, I am new to WP and have downloaded the Trinity church theme for my WP.org site at camptonheights.org. I’m just looking for, begging for help on the following. I have downloaded the theme and did everything the Getting Started Guide told me to do. Now I need to go to the next step but don’t know what to do. I’ve read literally hundreds of pages on WP but can’t figure out how to do this next step. Can anyone help me or steer me in the right direction? If this is the wrong way to go about this I would appreciate knowing that too. I’m just a volunteer for a church that can’t find anyone to do this for them. It’s a sad situation when I’m the best they can find.
    Thank you so much!

So be it for ChurchThemes’ support? Have you considered using a theme on WordPress.org (we support those) http://wordpress.org/themes/ ?

Andrew, thank you for responding so quickly. I could not find a theme my Pastor liked. He liked the Trinity theme so I went with it with the 29 dollar upgrade. I’m just stuck as I have it loaded but can’t figure out how to, for a lack of better words, “unzip” it. I guess I thought there would be a way to have the images and slides “auto populate” if you will, the page and I could refine it from there.
