• We’ve installed simple seo, added many relevant tags, added sitemaps for our sites, our permalinks have been changed to be search engine and human friendly and most of our stuff still ends up buried on the net when we search for our media online. We’ve pinged just about each service, have submitted site maps and our sites have been up well over a year each having hundreds of original entries. Our google analytics reports show that most of our traffic comes from social networking and very little from search engines. Only a few of our entries show up in search engines after much page digging.. What can we do to help our results online, seriously because we are on the verge of giving up and shutting down our sites. Any help to a fellow frustrated wordpress user would go a long way. Thank you in advanced.

our sites are http://www.industryfokery.com and http://www.cinemahaven.com

  • Have you seen your competition? How many results google find when you search your keywords? It is posible to have much competition and the other wbesites are older, better, more netlinks, etc.

Yeah i’ve reviewed our competition, that is a hurdle we are willing to take on over the course of time. It would just be nice to search for our content and actually be able to find it online.

You have some serious code errors on both sites.

Someone has been adding code in the wrong places. The meta name=”verify-v1″ code needs to be inside the head section (before </head>) and it needs to be closed (/>). Your code is truncated on the industryfokery site. It look like the pasted Analytics code erased part of the normal document closing code.

These codes are like virtually impossible to fix as some are simply embed code and symbol issues but I tried fixing things easily by changing permalinks and even changing the theme. It seems many of these errors are actually wordpress generated.
