Need plugin to mail to internal mailing list

    Hi. My company has asked me to set up a system where our internal WP instance sends posts from a specific category to an internal mailing list. So I am looking for a plugin that can email selected posts.

    Then I think I will need to install Mailman (running Linux) on my work machine to manage the list & distribute the emails. Has anyone ever done something similar?? Does this sound like it has a shot at working? I’m not quite sure where to start.

    Each category has its own feed. http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds#Categories_and_Tags

    How about using Feedburner’s RSS-to-email feature?

    Or sign everyone up for the category feed via http://www.feedmyinbox.com/

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.

    Unfortunately I am rather restricted because everything must be internal (this is for our sales team to use). I don’t think I will be able to set up an external service like Feedburner for this task.

    I already have the mailing list. I just need a plugin that will a) take specified posts and create a newsletter, and b) mail to that list.

    I found a wp-mailman plug-in but it hasn’t been updated in a while.

    Also found this one that says it supports mailman but don’t know if it’ll work with 3.1 – you could always test it.

    Those are the only two that came up when I searched ‘mailman’ in the plug-ins repository.

    Thanks. Yeah, I think the mailman plugin is dead. I took a look at that the other day.

    Do you know of a plugin that will create an HTML newsletter from posts?

    Everything I am finding is either a subscription manager or they send manually entered text emails.
