As a WP newbie, I was flabbergasted to see that once I hit 16 posts–the 16th was not visible on the Manage Posts page. There was no “Next” link as any web user of any web product would expect to see. Now I have to go through the post displays in the blog itself to find what I’m looking for and then hit the edit key. Yes, I know I can search from the Manage Posts page, but with the commonality of the topics that I discuss I’m sure I’ll soon have over 15 posts per search result.
If this were not bad enough, the Manage Pages doesn’t have a Search and I’m wondering when I’ll hit the limit of my number of Pages I can display soon. I’m on 18 Page entries now and they are all there, so I have no idea what the magic number is for Manage Pages and if there will be a “next” link at all.
For both of these, we need not just “Next” and “Prev,” we need pages numbers. For example, if there are 15 posts per page and there are 65 posts entered, the bottom of the page should show links for “Next”, “Prev”, and “1,2,3,4,5”.
I doubt the skills or technology to do this paging is so advanced that it cannot be done, so I wonder why such a basic function found everywhere else was not included in WP.
