# need new authentication codes

 * Hello! I’ve just run out of my 10 two-step authentication codes. How do I get
   more? I don’t see a way to do this. THANKS!

 * WordPress does not have yet 2FA out of the box,
    what plugin are you using?
 * It will be best to ask on that plugin support forum.

 * Thanks for quick reply, but Hmmm… WP.com has two-step:
    [https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step](https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step)…
   so I assumed WP.org did, too.
 * Problem is: I can’t log into /wp-admin to see my plugins without the code! But
   now that I think about it, I’ll check with my Theme supplier; maybe it’s them…

 * I know that. That’s why I’m asking. But I’m now talking to my Theme’s support
   and am on the trail to a solution there.

 * If you connect via FTP to your web server file system then:
    1. you may be able
   to see what plugins and theme you’ve got. 2. you may be able to disable your 
   2FA plugin by changing the name of its folder.

 * Thanks, Tor-Bjorn. I solved it in a similar way. Turns out that my security plugin
   was providing the two-step codes, and they showed me how to alter the wp-config.
   php file in cPanel, which let me in to generate more codes.
