• I have a locator map with the tagaglong and propack upgrades. I need to be able to search by “snow, skate, snow and skate” but also by “demo, buy, or demo and buy”. I am using tags to search by “”snow, skate, or snow and skate”. I tried using categories to add the second layer of search terms, demo, buy or demo and buy”. The problem is that if a store does demo and buy, they also need to be in the categories of just buy and just demo as well in order for them to be found properly. When I checked all 3 categories, they would the search function would not find them in all three categories.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@scottyclvr – I will need to think about this and see if I can come up with a viable solution. Most of the category and tag system features are meant for simple “this or that” filters.

There are some “creative” ways to get around this by creating tags for each combination, but that can quickly become a nightmare to manage and provide a simple user interface.

What you really need is the custom fields and filters plugin, but that is a very big project. I’ve thought about building it out so I can build a “real estate listing” pack, among others, on top of it. But that is going to require a few months of free time to get it done.
