I recently analyzed the performance of my website (www.SingleEffort.com) through Pingdom and found that roughly 2 seconds is taken up by the redirection of http://www.SingleEffort.com to http://SingleEffort.com.
Here’s the link to the Pingdom screenshot showing the test results: http://singleeffort.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/SingleEffort.png
Are there any benefits to keeping this redirection? If so, what are they? What are the cons?
If I wanted to remove the redirection, how would I do so?
And finally, if I remove the redirection, will this break my site by borking all the links currently in use?
