Need help with the Home Page

Hi all,

I am having an issue with alignment in the home page . The picture you see in the middle of the page on the following link:

https://darfoundation.wordpress.com/

I am trying to stretch it to fill the entire section, but it just wont! it seems like that space is reserved for the sidebar, however, i have already set up this page as ” Home”, if i change the format to Full Width, it will stretch the picture, however, i will lose the Home page features including the bottom menu which i can personalized.

Any help will be appreciated
