Need help with installation of multisite

    Trying to accomplish the following. Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

    1) I have multiple domain names (e.g., site1.com, site2.com, site3.com).
    2) I need each domain to display their own blog, themes, and plugins and user login.

    3) all attach to the same database with a common super admin.

    other information.
    I have the root site setup and working. The install of wp is in its own folder under wwwroot each domain will have its own folder under wwwroot as well. would like all sites to use the 1 wp install but have their own content saved in the 1 database with their own username and pw but use my Super admin to administrate. Would I use different table names proceded by a differnet $table_prefix for each site?

    1) Install WordPress

    2) Activate Multisite

    3) Create sites for site2 and site3 as EITHER site2.site1.com or site1.com/site2 (trust me here 😉 )

    4) Install a domain mapping plugin and MAP site2.com to the site2.site1.com or site1.com/site2 URL

    5) Have a drink 🙂

    Mika here is what I did:
    1) Install WordPress

    2)Moved site one to its own directory following the wordpress.org instuctions.
    made sure site1 worked.
    –site1

    3) Activate Multisite

    3) Create site for site2 as site2.site1.com
    used network add new site to create site2.
    Site2’s address (not mapped) is –site2

    3a) cannot get to site2’s dashboard nor visit site.
    can edit the site under network>sites>webserver2

    waiting to get the above working

    4) Install a domain mapping plugin and MAP site2.com to the site2.site1.com or site1.com/site2 URL

    5) Have a drink 🙂
