Need help : Which plugins to choose for my website?

Okay, So I have this idea and wanted to implement using WordPress.

The idea is basically of a directory/listing site, a listing site for people who come and offer themselves for help. And other people can come and choose them. Now I also need to support payments in this.

I don’t know where to start from. I looked into a few ecommerce plugins, but they kind of work more for products than for people. I looked into a few directory/listing plugins as well, but they do didn’t quite really fit in.

Could you please tell me a few plugins I should look into? Or from where should I start going into this?
