Support » Plugin: Max Mega Menu » Need help repositioning dropdown menu on mobile

  • I’m currently developing a new WordPress site for a client, and I need some help customizing the positioning of the dropdown menu on mobile.

If you have a look at the screenshot I’ve linked to below, you’ll notice that the expanded mobile navigation menu is being displayed under the search box — instead of directly underneath the hamburger icon (the latter of which is the standard, default behavior):

How would I go about getting the expanded mobile navigation menu to display below the search box (as shown in the image) .. instead of directly underneath the hamburger icon?

    Thanks,
    – Yvan

    Hi Yvan,

I’m afraid it is not possible to “detach” the mobile toggle icon from the dropdown. You would either need to custom code your own toggle button (and code the required JavaScript to show/hide the menu also), or use a dedicated mobile menu plugin (e.g. Responsive Menu or ShiftNav) which should hopefully let you absolutely position the toggle button where you want it.

    Regards,
    Tom
