Need help removing background color from Dropdown Menu widget

  • Hi there…
    So I’m working on a site and my boss has asked me to change the background color of the Dropdown menu widget on the home page (here’s the site http://www.prepgolfamerica.com)

    I can find the part in the code that I need to change when I View the page source from the homepage but I cannot figure out how to actually edit it in WordPress.

    I think I just want to get rid of the white background.

    Try using a browser tool like Firebug – it shows you the code and where it’s located – in this case line 198 in style.css –

    #nav-one ul li a:hover, #nav-one ul li.current-menu-item a, #nav-one ul li.current_page_item a, #nav-one ul li.current_page_parent a, #nav-one ul li.current-page-ancestor a {
        background-color: #FFFFFF;
        color: #2E3192;
    }

    Since that’s a custom site, making changes there may be okay, but do be aware that if the theme gets updated, the changes may be lost.
