Hi and thanks for reading.
I am really hoping someone can help me out with this one.
I’ve tried several things for weeks and still can’t figure it out.
I am using Studio Press 1.2 as my theme. I’ve made some changes to it and all works fine. The only thing I can’t seem to figure out is how to properly append CSS to reflect on the site as I need it to.
My site is Salt Lake Examiner and I want to keep the look the way it is already but I do need to make some changes.
I want it so that when index.php loads, the top header (Salt Lake Examiner) will be <h1> and the site description underneath it (Local – Independent – Informative) to be <h2>.
And when you click on a post, and it takes you to single.php, I want the the post title to be <H1> and the site name (Salt Lake Examiner) to be <H2>.
The problem is that because of the way IDs and Classes are called in the templates, if I do this, I end up with several H1 and H2 tags. So I tried to make it so that the header is considered an H3 and the description is H4 and to make the sizes unchanged.
However the problem then is the titles on the index.php page for each post all become <H1> tags.
I hope this makes sense and I look forward to your help and input.
