• Ok here is my situation.

I am creating a blog whose purpose is for its community to also be able to post in their own “private area” of sorts WITHIN the blog.

    For example.

User 1 registers an account on the blog/site.
User 2 registers an account on the blog/site.

User 1 decides to write a post about his day…

User 2 wishes to read User1’s post, so he selects/clicks into User1’s “private” section (which ONLY User1 can post NEW topics in)

User2 reads User1’s post, and then proceeds to comment on it, creating discussion in User1’s “private area”… etc.etc.

How would I go about implementing this type of infrastructure? I havent seen any solutions jump out at me sofar.

And well, this is an embarassing question to ask…

But, in a published wordpress site, would subscribers to my blog have to specially log into the “admin” area to make their own posts as described in my first post?

Does the wordpress blog not have some sort of feature like a forum would have… “New post” or something on the main area, instead of having to go into admin?

    Yes.
    No.

With that in mind then… I suppose the options then are to link to the admin panel and allow them to access it.. or so put a list of editor programs up for ppl to download.

The only thing is… the target group of people i am trying to get into this site may not necessarily be the type who would be knowledgable about blog editors, etc…

any suggestions anyone how to make this type of site work?

Do you think perhaps a full fledged CMS- and not an actual wordpress blog… may be the solution to this?
