Support » Fixing WordPress » Need help, I changed SEO plugins frequently

  • I was using Yoast SEO but compelled to change as I have changed my WP theme recently and Yoast was creating some conflict with the theme. Now I am using All In One SEO. But not a single post is getting indexed after that. Even until last month, my site was indexed by google but suddenly it is not even indexing. One thing I didn’t care about while changing, I overlooked the option to keep the settings to shift it on the new plugin. May I get some guide on how to keep things right? And frequently changing of SEO plugins creates what sort of problems?
Thank you, guys; looking for your help!

  • Hi,

do you have a link for us to your site? This would help troubleshooting.

    Yes here it is homebizwave

First thing I notice: why is the an allow rule in your robots.txt? Usually you’ll specify what you disallow?

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/
    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Sitemap: http://www.homebizwave.com/sitemap.xml.gz

    Sitemap: http://www.homebizwave.com/sitemap.xml

By the way: Google has indexed your site. If you search in Google with site:http://www.homebizwave.com/ I see 72 results.

    Hi Mike,
Before your suggestion my rule was different. But as you suggested, I have changed the rule in robots.txt. I have just copied as you have shown. But when clicked on the optimize button the Parameter status of Allow is showing in yellow color. (I checked the help indicator beside yellow, it prompts this

The yellow indicator means that a non-standard extension was recognized; not all crawlers may recognize it or interpret it the same way. The Allow and Sitemap directives are commonly used by Google and Yahoo.
The red indicator means that the syntax is invalid for a robots.txt file.
    More Information

    Need help.

More: Still I haven’t received any of you guy’s comments regarding my concern about changing of SEO plugins frequently and the impact on my site.

    Expecting all of your cooperation.

    Thanks
