• Hello,

I contacted wordpress support today to delete or edit this WordPress post:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/need-help-on-wordpress-socail-login-plugin

I completely un-knowingly posted my client’s URL and confidential information about the theme we used to build the clients site. It was an honest mistake and I really did not mean to do this. I contacted the Administrator yesterday and explained that I either wanted to delete the post or at least delete my clients URL from the post. But he refused to do so and blocked my account. And I truly think this is not fair. My client is so upset, There is a chance I might even lose my job for this.

    Please help me!

In the WordPress terms it says that you are allowed to edit or delete posts with sensitive information, and to my client, this really is sensitive information. If you could please help us, we would be very grateful.

The Client is so upset about this, and I really am so sorry for making the mistake. If you can delete this post (or at least the URL within the post) I would be so grateful to you. And I promise I will not make the same mistake again.

Thank you so much. I am so sorry for the trouble.

    Subhro

  • It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Editing or deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but. generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public.

I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.
