Need Help deleting code from sidebar.php

Hello, this is my first post!
My website is http://www.miththunder.com
I am using the custom Theme ‘Visual‘ by Marios Lublinski at Dessign.
My issue is that I want to remove the recent posts from the sidebar which appears on many of the pages (does not appear on home page). Doing this in widgets does not work (I cant add widgets either). I deleted the whole string of code and this worked but I am guessing that deleting a whole page of code is a bad idea, so I would like some help on how to edit the sidebar.php code so that the recent posts go away. If I could then be able to add widgets that would be even better. So heres the code.
