• Not sure anyone can help me… but here we go.

I use wordpress.org and I go through Blue Host but I still use wordpress for all my admin stuff.

I bought a theme from a company called Pretty Darn Cute Designs, and when I went to try to add a background image to my blog, they told me the following…

“You would need to custom code the theme in order to be able to add a background image; it would be a matter of updating the CSS to accommodate this; it’s not something that comes with the theme by default.”

I am completely confused by that and have no idea how to do it.
Can anyone help me figure this out?

When I asked them for further help they sent me this link…

    http://wpsites.net/web-design/styling-the-background-of-your-theme/

My theme does not provide support for custom backgrounds, so it appears that I have to add CSS code to my child theme.

Thanks to ANYONE who can assist…

  • Hey there taycalla,

    Hope you’re well! 🙂

Sad cause they can’t do it for you since you pay for the theme but unfortunately WordPress forum rules prevents us assisting with commercial products, with this in mind, for further support you will need to chat with the plugin/theme developer.sorry.

You can read more about that here:

    Take care,

Thanks so much, Calvin… my apologies for posting it when I shouldn’t have! A little overwhelmed here, and frustrated.
Seems like something that should be so simple to do, and yet I cannot figure it out no matter how hard I try.
Thanks again, I will contact PDC Designs again and ask for help.

taycalla, I think that we need to start PDCD support group! I spent so much money for a custom installation, the child theme “Fun”, and Genesis. Now, small things, like allowing me to upload a header bigger than the size of a postage stamp, is considered a “customization” that costs stupid $.

And, just so you don’t feel bad, I was here trying to look for help for a child theme from PDCD, just like you! Hang in there!
