Portfolio: Need different slides in "main slideshow" vs "nav thumbnails"

  • I need a different set of slides in “main slideshow” than in “nav thumbnails”.

The idea is to have a SlideDeck-based portfolio site, containing ‘projects’. A project is a wordpress post (I suppose) and consists of, let’s say, 5 images (with captions).

    – The main slideshow loops through every image on the site – all images in all projects.
    – The thumbnails list serve as a project browser where you have only one image from each project.

I am a developer and I’m not afraid to rewrite some of the code. I’m looking for a pointer, where to start or how to set up. Any ideas?

    Best regards
    Andreas
