Need Advice – 2.7 vs 2.6.5

    Hi All,

    Here’s my situation: I’m currently running 2.6.5 on all my WPs, except for one 2.7-RC1.

    My theme (Freshy 2 by Jide) is not working properly with 2.7-RC1. It refuses to show the current page, it hasn’t been updated for 2.7-RC1, etc.

    What do I do? Stay at 2.6.5? Upgrade and try to find another theme which I can modify heavily? To be honest, I haven’t found a theme which I can trick into doing what I want it to do like Freshy that is 2.7 compatible.

    Look at the difference: http://www.thetrekproject.net vs http://www.jide.fr. Jide is straight-line Freshy 2. The Trek Project is my modifications to it.

    Any advice?

    Ok, so I fixed the current page issue – somehow the update from 2.6.5 to 2.7 RC1 caused an is_home() condition to appear above the first line in my functions.php file.

    I still don’t think Freshy 2 is going to take full advantage of 2.7, but I can do most of the fixes myself and make it work.

    Just a bummer it took that long to find the answer to those problems!
