• This plugin so great! But i think you should have a shortcode to custom wordpress page.
Example: I want echo it on the homepage (I Do not use static page) and…. I Can’t do it!

Sorry, I’m unsure of what you are asking for. Could you give more details?

If they’re asking for the same thing I’m asking for, it’s for a [toc] shortcode I can add to an arbitrary page. (I don’t have them on pages in general, but there are a couple where it would be useful.)

I didn’t find a shortcode defined in the main Php file, and [toc] doesn’t appear to work, in any case — I found a page that seemed to imply it would work, but it might have been for another plugin with a similar name.

It should be reasonably straightforward to add, following the instructions for defining a shortcode in the http://w-shadow.com/blog/2012/06/19/table-of-contents-plugin-tutorial/, but I’m not quite conversant enough with Php in general, or the TOC plugin in partiuclar, to know where the code goes.)

    Thanks for listening!

In that context, that does make sense. Not sure I’m going to re-add add a shortcode. I purposefully removed it. In my experience in providing support… shortcodes are great but can be troublesome to use if you are not familiar with them.

Some one did submit a patch to me that adds a shortcode like placement option. I’m on the fence as to accept the patch or not because it looks like a shortcode, but it is not. I think those familiar with shortcodes would find this confusing.
