# Need a plugin recommendation, please

 * Hi all, need a recommendation for a plug-in … we’re looking for a visually interesting
   way to list a group of individuals, in a “hall of fame” type listing. For each
   person, there will be a photo, a name, and a brief description. We want something
   more interesting than just a list.
 * I’ve looked at a lot of “CoverFlow” type apps, but Flash is not our strong point(
   and we don’t own a copy, so we’d be looking at buying Flash just to make minor
   modifications). I’m thinking there must be some sort of pre-existing plugin that
   makes for fun browsing of items within a WP page … for instance, something like
   Amazon’s “Today’s recommendations for you,” which has clickable arrows on the
   left and right side that scroll through the list of choices.
 * Any inspirations? Looking forward to not re-inventing the wheel. Thanks in advance.

 * I think you might be better off trying one of the image gallery plugins with 
   slideshow features – maybe [NextGen Gallery](http://alexrabe.boelinger.com/?page_id=80)
   or [WP-PicLens](http://wordpress.piclens.com/). I haven’t tried either, but they
   sound promising.
 * One note: I’ve noticed on the forums here that NextGen Gallery may cause conflicts
   with some plugins.

 * I tried to install Wp PicLens, but when I try to activate the plug in it gives
   me the following error:
 * Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/content/c/a/y/
   caysaltech/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-piclens/piclensFunctions.inc 
   on line 72
 * I contacted the support for piclens and they told me is needed php5, as far as
   I can tell I am running php5
    Any suggestions
