I am looking for a plugin that will be able to automatically generate menus based on the site hierarchy that I define in wordpress.
I would like the top level navigation to be in a horizontal bar at the top and then second level navigation to appear vertically on the left. I don’t need anything that is styled as I will do this myself. I would like it to work much like this site does.
Could anyone recommend a plugin that would suit my requirements?
That was exactly the sort of thing I was after, cheers!
I have almost got it to work in the way that I want. The side menu showing levels 2 and downwards works fine when showing level 2 and 3 menu items but when clicking on a level 3 menu item the menu only shows level 3 items.
Now I think I need to add an extra condition to code that generates the side menu, it currently looks like:
$thispage = $wp_query->post;
//Add an extra handler in here for the case that this is a 2nd or 3rd level page.
Anyone have an idea of what code I would need to add in here? If you want to take a look at the site and see it working it can be found here.
