navigation menus integration issues

So I have googled and searched for the last several days for a solution for my navigation menu problem and after reading through and testing out various ideas and theories I have finally decided that my next course of action would be to ask the community directly for help.

The problem: I have two horizontal menus (one on the left, menu, and one on the right, menu2, with a logo separating the two of them). They each have their own css style file (which I think i can just put into one file…). Once I installed the custom theme I had created, though, I discovered that the navigation menu will only display vertically as bulleted text. WordPress appears to not recognize my css file, for some reason.

What is it that I am missing or doing wrong? I deeply appreciate any words of advice. I have included the code from my functions.php file and my header.php file. Please let me know if you require additional information.

do u think that css styles are not working
or your code functions

can you explain me clearly

or can you provide me your link or screen shot

Hi Varunms,

Thank you for responding to my post! If you just click on my functions code link (in blue in my first post) you will be able to view the functions. I also included a link to my header code. I am currently testing it through MAMP so it’s not available for online viewing; however, if there is still confusion after reading the code, I can upload a screen shot and submit all of the css.

I am at school right now so I am unable to install a local server onto a computer so that I can obtain a screen shot of my code (in a visual state). Once I get home I will do that, though.

Ideally, I’m trying to get it to become an active menu so that the user will be able to add additional links/sub-menus to it…so it would be a drop down menu. I hope that makes sense.
