Hello. Regarding the navigation bar at the top, I was wondering if there is a way to only allow others to click on the drop down pages. For example, I would like to list “about” on my navigation bar. However, I would like there to be 2 sub pages…”about the site” and “about the author”. Rather than allowing someone to click on “about” on the navigation bar, I would like to require them to select from the drop down boxes when they hover over it…and select either “about the site” or “about the author”. Is this possible?

    Thanks

Yes it’s possible but requires advanced knowledge of PHP as it requires to modify the default WordPress Menu mechanics. Although it might be possible to imitate this behavior with CSS, by changing the cursor icon on hover (from hand to regular pointer). Of course you could still click on those parent elements, but I guess many users would be “tricked”.
