Navigating through custom post types, via taxonomy

  • For a site that I’m working on, I’ve created both custom post types and custom taxonomies. I would like to display the posts, then allow users to navigate through other posts in that taxonomy. Once they reach the end of the posts in that taxonomy, I would like to have a link to go to the first post in the next taxonomy.

To give a bit more concrete example: I have created a custom post type called “Art”, and a custom taxonomy called “Movement”. So if a user clicks on “Impressionism”, they get the first post in “Impressionism”. Once they get to the last post in the “Impressionism” taxonomy, there would be a link to the first post in the “Post-Impressionism” taxonomy.

    Does that make sense?

  • Or how about this: Does anybody have suggestions on how I might do the above, with or without custom post type/taxonomies?
