Hi, I’m trying to set up my page, sarahellenzarrow.com. I’m trying to follow the format of http://www.laurenjaegutterman.com/. I’d like to do the following, and can’t figure out how:
1) I’d like my contact/cv/publications/teaching headers to go inside the grey bar, not below it.
2) I have a bio page that I’d like to display first, as the home page. It used to be that this page displayed along with all the other ones as one continuous blog-style page, but this isn’t happening anymore. I don’t know how to get this page (it’s saved in the pages section) to display again.
Thanks for your help!
Link to YOUR site?
is this the theme you are using? http://themeforest.net/item/manifest-multipurpose-wordress-themes/263298
You may need to ask the developer for help – as commercial themes aren’t supported here…
Thanks. My site is sarahellenzarrow.com. Manifest is an unsupported theme, I guess–http://themes.jimbarraud.com/manifest/.
Then consider ditching your theme, as we also do not support it.
Try a theme distributed on WordPress.org: http://wordpress.org/themes/
Thank you. I’ve changed to a WP-supported theme, and I’m having the same issues–I can’t figure out how to make the navigation bar say anything other than “Home.”
Thanks for any advice.
Have you created a custom menu?
You can that way control whatever appears in the menu.
Try setting up a custom menu by following this article http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen
