  • I’m trying to figure out why the pretty red-text navigation bar is not appearing horizontally just below the header. Help?

You need to assign that menu under Appearance >> Menus.

    Hi again, Sami.
Thanks for getting back so quickly. I wonder if you could give a little more detail. I’m assuming I have to create a menu, which I did and named it navbar. Do I then have to add the navbar to the “before content” widget? I tried that before by adding the navigation widget to the before content widget, but can only get my pages to appear in an unordered list.

I’ve searched through all the other comments and could not find any help with this. I’ve also tried everything I can think of playing with the widgets and menus and such. I just want a normal horizontal navigation bar that will appear beneath the header and will show all my pages. I’m sure it’s a simple procedure, but I just can’t figure it out.

Thanks for your help with this! Joe

    Hey –
It figures that after I spill my guts and reveal my ignorance and vulnerability that I figure out the problem. I got it now. Again, thanks for the response, Sami. I really like the theme; I wish I had more time to play with it. J.

Note that WP 3.6 just arrived and Appearance >> Menus are little different. When you go there, click Manage Locations and assign one of your menus in secondary menu.

Or when you edit menu, choose Secondary under Theme locations.

Thanks to you too, yogi. J.
