Support » Fixing WordPress » NavBar Menu Order

  • Hi. 🙂

    Is there an easy way to make my ‘Home’ page the first option on my top horizontal navbar? I tried ordering all the pages to be greater than ‘0’, but that didn’t do the trick. I’d imagine there’s a really simple way that I’m clearly just missing?

    Just in case you need it, here’s the code from that section:

    <ul>
    		<li><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>"><?php _e("Home"); ?></a></li>
    		<?php wp_list_pages('exclude=13,21&title_li='); ?>
    	</ul>

    Thanks for your help! 🙂

  • Additionally, I think it’s important to point out that I’m using a custom home page (via home.php)… which is why I think the ‘My Page Order’ plug-in didn’t work for me.

    Not sure if this would work but worth a try, if home id was 20!

    <ul>
             <?php wp_list_pages('include=20&title_li='); ?>
    	<?php wp_list_pages('exclude=20&title_li='); ?>
    </ul>

    Thanks for the suggestion – that actually just removed the home page from the list all together… :-/
