Navbar height and Form Fields

    @danielguyjohnson

    Hi,

    Great theme perfect for what I am wanting to create, but I have a couple of little issues.

    I have edited the header bar (using a child theme) but I am struggling to reduce the space between the divider png file and the top of the text in the nav bar.

    Also I notice that when I put a newsletter sign up widget in my side bar- the input fields are not visible – where can I edit their border and background – I am assuming you have set the border to 0 somewhere.

    Site is set up at danieljohnson.org.uk temporarily and is being set up for a non-profit politics/policy groupl

    Thanks,

    Daniel

    To reduce the gap between the white line and the nav bar (About, Contact Us, etc…) add the following code to your child theme css:

    #nav ul {
    margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    If you want the gap to be bigger or smaller change the value of 10px as you like.

    I’ll get back to the sign up form in a second.

    The signup form:

    On line 13 and 14 of main.css the following code is present:

    border-width: 0px;
    border-style: none;

    This basically switches off the border. To activate the border add the following to your child theme css

    #mc_signup_form {
    	border-width: 1px;
    	border-style: solid;
    }

    If you add the following code it’ll be a starting point to give a bit more structure to your form and add a red border which is the same color as your header area:

    #mc_signup_form {
    	border: 1px solid #AB0635;
    }
    .mc_var_label {
    	float: left;
    	width: 115px;
    }
