Nav Menu display problem in Spartan Child Theme

    I am new to WordPress and I am working on an off line local hosted Theme on my pc.

    The theme is Spartan and the problem I have is that having made a Child theme version of Spartan the nav menu no longer functions properly.

    Instead of the pages showing horizontally across the menu, they now just all show vertically in one line only. This includes main pages and sub pages. See example below.

    If I set the same menu up in the original Spartan theme it works fine, so this problem only appears to happen in a child theme version?

    The theme is from Theme Alley. I have the same problem when using another theme from Theme Alley called Destro.

    I have not come across this with any other themes out there.

    I be be most grateful for any advice.

    What’s your style.css look like for your child theme? I got issues when I created a child theme. Or at least post a screencapture. Looking at the code won’t help much unfortunately.
