nav arrows always on?

  • Is there anyway to leave the navigation and image title always on?
    also, is there a way to substitute the image title for the description or any kind of text?

    Great plug-in. Really like what I’ve been able to do so far.

    Sadly, the native FancyBox API parameter showNavArrows accepts either true or false where true (the default) will show the arrows only on mouse-hover and false will always hide them. No option to always show.

    I tested some CSS rules but as the style for the arrows (toggle display from none to inline) is set dynamically via javascript, that does not work either…

    Maybe a feature request with the FancyBox developers is in order here? You can post the idea on http://groups.google.com/group/fancybox and I’ll second the request 🙂

    The image title should be always ON unless you have set the Easy FancyBox option ‘Advanced’ to ‘Hide/show title on mouse hover action’ in combination with ‘Title Position’ to ‘Overlay’…

    You can choose to use the alt text as title by checking the option ‘Allow title from thumbnail alt tag’ which could be useful for what you want. With it, you could use image links in your posts like <a href="" title="title text"><img src="" alt="alternative text" /></a> which should display the alternative title text as title in FancyBox.

    I found a solution on another website:
    Simply add

    #fancybox-left span {
    left: 20px;
    }

    #fancybox-right span {
    left: auto;
    right: 20px;
    }

    Right before the same :hover code in fancybox css.

    Hope this helps.
