    in header.php I see the wrapper, header, and nav ids, and I moved the nav around to see if I can get it at the top of the page, and I did. it is in the header now. but, I want to make the nav move down a bit so it is flush with the wrapper background image. but when I change the nav margin, it makes everything in the wrapper move down too. so I tried moving the nav id above the wrapper id so it wasn't inside it, then changed the margin of nav, but it still moved everything. so I dunno what to do. is this something anyone can help me with please?

    I'm using the css gallery theme by osdesigner, which I'm modifying.

    you want to add padding, not margin.
    try this, but mess with the first padding number til its just right

    #nav {
    	height:37px;
    	margin:10px 0 0 0;
    	padding:40px 0 0 0;
    }
