 * Hi, I am using the Customize–>Basic Settings–>Page Width–>smaller 1200px
 * But we would like to have a wider margin of the white content section around
   the text itself. Currently, the text goes almost to the edge of the white background
   of the content section. We are using Right Sidebar but the left side is too close
   to the edge.
 * I am using a child theme at [http://autumns-garden.com](http://autumns-garden.com)
 * Thank you.

 * Hi Katemegill,
 * You need to increase the padding of the container div to make the edges bigger.
 * Thanks.

 * Is this something I can add to the child theme? I’m afraid if I change it the
   parent theme it will disappear with updates.

 * Hi Katemegill,
 * Yeah, that’s the things you need to do, add it to child theme to avoid data losses
   on updates.
 * Thanks.

 * OK, I’m not making myself clear. I don’t know css so I have no idea either what
   code to add to the child theme (so I can adjust it) or where I can find it on
   the parent theme to copy and adjust for making edges wider. Can you show me what
   the code would be to add to the child theme?

 * Hi Katemegill,
 * You can install jetpack custom css and add the css code the editor.
 * Thanks
