Support » Fixing WordPress » Namesco site install problem

  • Friend had an old html site hosted on Namesco – http://www.newfieldsorganics.com – I offered to build a new one using WP Canvas using same host. I installed the script and did so with the domain http://www.newfieldsorganics.com/wp

When built I changed the two url General settings from wp to the domain. Then on the Namesco control panel I deleted the old website files (apart from 4 unknown which won’t delete) and put the WP files on the Public Web as directed by Namesco help.

I can now log in to my WP admin for the site – http://newfieldsorganics.com/wp-admin/ but the site itself is coming up with a 403 access denied message.

I have used a plug in to change all my permalinks so none have /wp

I think the problem may be because when I look at Namesco current installations I see it is has this –

    Directory – /content/sites3/n/e/newfieldsorganics.com/web/wp

    URL – http://newfieldsorganics.com/wp

    Database Name – newfiel

    Database User – newfiel

    Database Host – mysql7.namesco.net

this is editdable but wary to tamper with this.

    then underneath:

    Software WordPress
    Installation Number 1
    Version 3.7.1
    Installation Time November 9, 2012, 10:07 pm
    Path /content/sites3/n/e/newfieldsorganics.com/web/wp
    URL http://newfieldsorganics.com/wp
    Admin URL http://newfieldsorganics.com/wp/wp-admin/
    Database Name newfiel
    Database User newfiel
    Database Host mysql7.namesco.net

Can anyone help get my site up – would be very grateful?
