Hello, as of today, all important information of past (non-registered)bookings has disappeared! All names show as: Non-Registered User, and the e-mail fields are blank.

Luckily I still have the confirmation mails in my inbox so I can put it back manually, but if I had thrown them away, I’d have a big problem now. Any idea what could be the cause?

By looking into the database I found out that the info is still there. It just doesn’t show on the ‘bookings’ page anymore.

It sounds like you may have deleted the dummy user account needed for No-User Booking Mode to work.

If you recreate the user – and make sure they’re assigned as the user under Events > Settings > Bookings > No-User Booking Mode – that should fix the problem.

Thanks, that must be the cause of the problem. I forgot what the old dummy user name was but I’ll just take the old booking data out of the database manually and make a new dummy account for new bookings.

    Thanks for the help!

I just had the same thing happen. No info whatsoever. What’s even more strange is how it works when you change the no-user booking dummy user. It changes the name and email of the booked person into the name and email of the dummy account.
Now I have a list of unregistered users with no names, no emails, and only a few with only the dummy accounts.
I did delete a few of my own test users today but I don’t know how it selected a random dummy user and why it erased existing data from the event. It’s a huge possible disaster to lose bookings like this. What can be done to make this safer. I can’t have this happen out of the blue.

We suggest creating a dummy user whose account is only used for the No-User Booking Mode. You could even make the username nouserbookingmode – or something else – that would remind you of the purpose of the account.
