Nag message on every admin screen

    Once activated, this plugin will add an admin notice to every back-end screen asking you to upgrade to their pro version. It is not dismissible.

    The developers have confirmed that this is the case too.

    Although the guidelines do allow admin notices that “self-dismiss when resolved” (https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-org/detailed-plugin-guidelines/#11-plugins-should-not-hijack-the-admin-dashboard), I really don’t feel this is in the spirit of those guidelines. As a result, I’ve uninstalled the plugin – the notice on every screen is over-bearing and unnecessary (imo).

    Plugin developers need to get better at treating their users better – including those that use the free offering, as they are potential, future customers. Annoying them in this way isn’t the way to get sales.

    Hey @dartiss. Thanks for the feedback. It looks like the version we had uploaded was an old version that did have that annoying banner. Our bad for not uploading the updated version that removed that.

    We’ve gone ahead and made the PRO version completely free for all users anyways. We are just waiting on WordPress to release it.

    Your message seems very much at odds with the email I received from your support yesterday…

    Hi David, as it’s a free version of the plugin, we advertise our paid version in that space. You can’t ride of the message unless you buy the PRO version. This is standand and typical for plugins that both a free and paid option.

    @dartiss That new totally free version should now be available. Understand if you were no longer interested, but just wanted to give you a heads up.
