n00b question around image cropping / adirondack theme

    I’m very new to wordpress, and have just put up a website to feature some artwork for a family member… i am using the adirondack theme.

    there seems to be an issue with the cropping of photos once they are uploaded,

    on the homescreen the tops of photos are chopped off/zoomed in, and once you click through to their individual pages it gets worse, really blown up/zoomed in, and cropped all wrong.

    about the only page that looks like its supposed to – somewhat is this one.

    even still it’s a bit annoying how it repeats the image again below it, but that’s bearable…

    is anyone able to help me with this? – in lay terms?
