• I’m using the “Mystique” theme (v2.4.2), but not the newest update (v2.5.1), because when I do, all the things I’ve changed in the CSS files and whats-it-called, are being reset to default. I have done a lot of work with the codes to change things on my site, so do you know if there is a way to keep the changes I’ve made after I update to 2.5.1 without looking up all the things I’ve changed?

For example, the menu buttons are smaller and with other colors then the default version. This is being reset to default after updating.

    Thanks

  • You need to create a child theme for all of your changes.

It’s been a while since this post was made, but I re-open it in hope of getting some help with the “One-Click Child Theme” plug-in.

I followed the descriptions from this site:
    http://wpmu.org/create-a-child-theme-for-wordpress-in-one-click/

After the install, the child theme was the active theme, but was as default. All my changes to the parent theme from before, was now reset. My next step was to update the parent theme, but still all is as default.

What am I doing wrong? I just want to have a child theme, so I can update my theme when ever a new update i available, and still keep all my changes in CSS files aso…
