Support » Fixing WordPress » Mysql version

  • I had to upgrade storage on my web hosting service but the php is 7.something and not the current 8 version so my site is all messed up. If I click on the Visit Site link from the admin it works fine and the site works great. What are the best way to remedy this situation?

  • Unfortunately, you are not describing the real problem at all. Therefore, nothing more specific can be said about it. Are there any specific error messages? A link to the page would also be helpful, if you can see the problem there.

Recommendation would be to use PHP 7.4. Also WordPress 5.9.3 is not yet fully compatible with PHP 8.0 or newer.

What does MySQL have to do with your question?
