    Hello,

I’ve been using the wordpress for 3 months and everything has worked fine until now… Now, it seems that it overloads my server with MySql queries from time to time and the site loads up very slowly or not at all.

    My WordPress version is 1.5.2

Does anybody know where the problem might be?

    Thank you!

now, it’s down again 🙁 and page navigation was disabled.

can’t that be because of the number of posts?
-> There are currently 932 posts and 35 comments, contained within 13 categories.

It’s not posts/comments, and that plugin is fine.
Your blog is loading fine for me now…

yep, because I rebooted my server again…

I don’t think it’s because of plugins I use at all. I see all my trade partners using them too.

Maybe it’s just that when more people browse the site, MySql gets overloaded.

This was when it happened last time:

Threads: 171 Questions: 85729 Slow queries: 1897 Opens: 151 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 140 Queries per second avg: 44.697

quite simply, all of your pastes look like a memory and configuration issues to me. Put some more memory in that box, and do some tweeking within Apache to accomodate the traffic, ie, mod_bandwidth, for starters (Yes i know that will not help mysql connections).

Im sure you know your site is NOT the only adult site on that box, I easily found others.

Lots of traffic means you need a good box with memory. Its that simple.

    Hello guys,

it seems that I found the problem… I totally forgot that I enabled compresion (had no clue it could be this) on my site a few days ago… I disabled it and site seems fine again!

whooami: My server should be fast enough, I have 2GB of memory!

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it!

    Martin
