MySQL errors — no, we didn’t upgrade or add plugins

  • Out of the blue, no one is able to post anything to our blogsite. We changed nothing, and in fact were out of town, and when we came back, BAM — every time we try to post we get odd MySQL errors, and they are different every time we try. I cannot find anything in previous posts about this; everyone else seems to have had problems after changing something — we changed nothing.

I am not posting any of the errors here because they are so different each time we try to post. I don’t know anything about MySQL — I haven’t worked with it for almost a decade.

  • Well how about a couple of the errors so we can get a general idea of what is occuring. You really don’t give anything to go on here.

Is there anything at all releated between teh errors? Table names maybe?

Here are the exact errors (they are not the same each time)

WordPress database error: [Access denied for user: ‘dbo159687748@%’ to database ‘db159687748’]
    INSERT IGNORE INTO wp_posts (post_author, post_date, post_date_gmt, post_content, post_content_filtered, post_title, post_excerpt, post_status, comment_status, ping_status, post_password, post_name, to_ping, pinged, post_modified, post_modified_gmt, post_parent, menu_order, post_mime_type) VALUES (‘1’, ”, ”, ‘TEST’, ”, ‘Test’, ”, ‘draft’, ‘open’, ‘open’, ”, ”, ”, ”, ”, ”, ‘0’, ‘0’, ”)

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 3]
    SELECT category_id FROM wp_post2cat WHERE post_id =

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘ 1)’ at line 2]
    INSERT INTO wp_post2cat (post_id, category_id) VALUES (, 1)

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/33/d157690626/htdocs/dsc040002073/wp-includes/wp-db.php:102) in /homepages/33/d157690626/htdocs/dsc040002073/wp-admin/post.php on line 60

BTW I am the webmin for the site in question that she was posting about.

As you can see from mctrlsys’ post, the MySQL errors have now been taken care of — the reason I didn’t post any of the errors was because they were wildly divergent — if I posted the same data twice, I’d get a wholly different set and number of errors than I did the last time.

So what still remains a problem is an inability to replace the dbo file and have it actually *be* replaced — it acts like we’re trying to modify the data, rather than replace it. Unfortunately we know very little about DBs, and aren’t totally sure if this is still a WP problem or now possibly one related to the domain host, 1and1.com.
