 * I cant seem to find my WordPress version anywhere. I have Googled this, and searched
on this site, but all i can find is old and incorrect instructions…There is nothing
in the dashboard, nothing in the footer…so where is it?

 * It is in the footer of every page of your admim area as well as in the Right
   Now pane of your Dashboard.

 * Nope, it is not in any place in my dashboard or in my footer.
 * In my backend footer, all i see is “Thank you for creating with WordPress. Get
   Version 3.9.1”
 * The only info in the “Right now” area of the dashboard area is:
    “Discussion
   43 Forums 77 Topics 3 Replies 10 Topic Tags Users & Moderation 233 Users 0 Hidden
Topics 0 Hidden Replies 1 Empty Topic Tag You are using bbPress 2.5.3-5249.”

 * Try looking in the Right Now pane of your Dashboard. If you do not see this pane,
click Screen Options at the very top of the Dashboard page and check “Right Now”.
You are obviously using an older version of WordPress so you need to upgrade
   asap.

 * I can clearly see the “Right now in forums” pane, and it only contains the info
i have copied and pasted earlier. There is no other pane called “Right now…”
except “Right now in rTmedia”. Even when i check the “Screen Options” there is
no other “Right now” alternative then these two i have already mentioned.
 * I updated WordPress less then 2 months ago. In a backup i found a personal note
that i have updated WordPress to version 3.8.2. But this info is not available
in any way from the backend of the site.

 * You need to look in your Dashboard. And upgrade WordPress! Were you aware that
your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked?

 * Since you claim that my lack of update is a big security risc, i will not give
you my website address before i can review the latest info and update history.
Please give me the link to these.

 * There’s a search field at the top of this page. You can find out all of the details
for the more recent WordPress updates by simply searching on “WordPress 3.9”
   etc.

 * Alternatively, to confirm your version number, visit the dashboard of your site(
   e.g. [http://example.com/wp-admin/](http://example.com/wp-admin/)) and add on“
   about.php”, thus [http://example.com/wp-admin/about.php](http://example.com/wp-admin/about.php).

 * Thanx Brandon, that worked perfectly 🙂
