My wordpress site is too slow…where to start looking for issues?

    My wordpress page is really slow. To be honest it was slow right from the beginning, but I wasn’t paying too much attention to it and was blaming on my hosting provider. Lately I have updated my subscription and the speed is still way too slow, too slow.

    I do not have extra plugins or too much content or pictures, reason I don’t know where to start looking for a bug to speed up things.

    The only thing I could think of would be my theme, AutoFocus+ Pro 1.5.3 – which extracts my image galleries remotely from my flickr account.

    Hat could be wrong? I would be really grateful for any suggestion.

    Your site speed test shows that it loads in 16.50s (requests: 43) and it your site is slower than 91% of all tested websites. It shows mostly due to response from the server. Look for other causes too like scripts and style sheets.

    I feel, if you can deactivate all plugins and test your site with Twenty Eleven theme, you can get a more clearer picture of what exactly slows down your site and according to that you can make corrections.
