# My WordPress looks different?

 * Hello!
 * I just wanna start of that I am completely new with wordpress and all of this.
   So I got one quesion.
 * When I look at videos and pictures online on people using wordpress and teaching
   how to use it, the wordpress got one kind of look to it. It’s black and got the
   same kind of tabs and options.
 * And then when I installed wordpress it looked completely different. And it’s 
   missing alot of tabs and options from what the videos online shows. Mine is also
   not black on the side bar. Mine is white.
    Got the following tabs: Stats Plan
   Blog Posts Pages Testimonials Themes Menus Sharing People Plugins Domains Settings
 * Can someone explain to me what I’ve done wrong or whats the issue is here please.
   
   I would appreciate alot.

 * But what does that mean exactly and how do I get the black theme as the most 
   people seem to have?

 * What [@staartmees](https://wordpress.org/support/users/staartmees/) means is 
   that if you’re using another service that is not self-hosted WordPress then it’ll
   depend on the system that you’re using. It sounds like you’re not using a self-
   hosted installation.
 * When you’re logged in, go to [http://www.example.com/wp-admin/profile.php](http://www.example.com/wp-admin/profile.php)(
   but replace example.com with your domain) and you _might be able_ to change the
   theme.
