I want to preface, I love this script, it has allowed me to do what I need to do, with a little tweaking, but,

This is my wishlist:
- Ability for users to upload images.
- Ability to set a featured image without a secondary plugin (using Auto Post Thumbs Pro)
- Ability to show excerpt with links and formatting without code changes (I’ve done this, but now cannot update until I do the same in the update)
- Allowing categories all categories to show for a particular link when using search (I have not been able to make this work)It only shows 1, but the full page shows all.
- Seach that allows refining based on AND so links that both categories will show through.
This is an example of what I have put together, we use a visual representation, and have a text version as well, but this is the favorite – the image pulled in is not from the Links image, as it is not tagged as the featured image, but pulled from the Auto Post Thumbs Pro plugin – https://go2griffin.org/tagshow.PNG https://go2griffin.org/categorylinks.PNG https://go2griffin.org/learn360.png

I have also added a favorites plugin that allows users to have a custom favorites page. The GO to links and username password at the bottom of the images is pulled from the full page content, I had to block the strip excerpt code, and am using a plugin called Advanced Excerpt to control length and individualize any tags I want blocked. I do not mind using a secondary plugin, but having the option to turn off excepts, or allow them would be awesome so I do not need to edit the code!

1) Just implemented ability for users to upload images.

2) I am not sure I understand the purpose of being able to set a featured image. Is this in order to see an image when links are displayed in general site search results?

3) Can you share the modifications you have made to the code in order to implement this functionality? Perhaps I can just directly incorporate these changes in the plugin instead of re-inventing the wheel.

4) Can you provide more details?

5) I am not sure how I will be able to tackle this one. Instead of searching for a term, you would want to be able to type a special search query to see links from two categories, as identified in the query?

Wonderful on the user upload, thank you!

for Featured images, it allows a theme that uses archive grid format to show like this:

I am using Auto Post Thumbnail PRO but I bet it is a matter of just tagging the default image as the ‘post-thumbnails’ – I can only tweak stuff though, so I do not know where that would be added.

I am also using Ajax Search – which will search tags and categories, and allow users to search as AND or OR, and will give ok results -https://go2griffin.org/search.PNG

In the choose your subject to the right I have the category drop down, to go between subjects. The heart and Love click allows the teachers to make a favorited page for their classroom, and uses the Favorites plugin, and the custom clickable links in the excert uses Advanced Excerpt plugin.

I have gotten just about all the functionality in what I need with your plugin as the base. I appreciate all you have done.

I have just pushed an update to Link Library to assign featured images as you create, import or have users submit new links with images.

As you are actively using features images, I think you are well positioned to test this new feature. I did some basic tests and saw that features images are now properly assigned as new links are created.

Do you also need some way to go back and batch process all links to add featured image data? Or did the third-party plugin that you used already take care of that for existing links?

You did not send me the code modifications you made to get link description excerpts to work.

I realized that the code mods were done in the Excerpt plugin, not yours!
