# My website on https opens some other website

 * Hi,
 * I am using shared hosting of a hosting company. My domain registrar is godaddy.
   My website is lahoregardening.com now my website when opened with https opens
   up some other website. I contacted my hosting company and they said that this
   is due to lack of SSL certificate which is very strange. I had always thought
   that lack of SSL means a website is not available on https address, but how come
   another website be linked to my domain address. Any hints to resolve this issue?
 * PS: I do not have a dedicated IP address.

 * You shouldn’t get a different website unless your webserver is miss configured.
 * when you configure a webserver http and https are actually two completely different
   sites to be configured. usually you configure theme both to show the same content(
   folder) unless otherwise required.
 * Usually when you don’t have a ssl cert, you configure the https site to show 
   a 404 i.e. the ssl site doesn’t exist..
 * I just looked at both sites.. http and https and their the **same site**, but
   some of the content (stylesheets, js) has dropped out so they do **look differently**
   but the content is the same.
 * This could have been what your hosting company meant but didn’t explain clearly,
   i.e. some of the content isn’t loading properly because there is not ssl certificate.
