My website has not been used in about a year. Is my content still available?

In 2009 and 2010, I was actively using my wordpress website and decided to close my hosting account somewhere else(2010)and have not used my wordpress website since then. When trying to login, my recovery password is being sent to an old email I do not have access to any longer. I recently tried to login with my old login and it said it does not exist. I am looking to relaunch my site and turn on my hosting account.

Did my account and website get erased?

How do I recover all of my past website content?
