My webpage has been hacked? | WordPress.org

So I was doing some minor edits yesterday to my webpage and then I log on today and the writing was a bit off on the homepage (extra letters added after sentences). So, I just started to delete these and I soon notice that every page was like this. After I edited some pages, they were then cut off half way down the page and all my content is now deleted. Also, the homepage title has changed to some sort of message:+ADw-/title+AD4-Hacked By Isal Dot ID+ADw-DIV style+AD0AIg-DISPLAY: none+ACIAPgA8-xmp+AD4-.

Someone help! I cannot have my company’s website crash like this! Any tips or ideas on how to fix this or why this is happening?

Get in touch with your hosting company asap. Tell them you’ve been hack and that you want your website restored back a few days.

When you’re back up and running, change your password and make sure WordPress is up-to-date as this could have caused the problem in the first place.

Your hosting company will want to look into where the hacker came from etc and should [if they’re a good company], be able to help you increase your security.

@jsonline: those are inadequate hack recovery methods. The host may have a backup, but the backup could be bad, too. There are more steps to securing a site than changing passwords.

Then take a look at the recommended security measures in Hardening WordPress – WordPress Codex and Brute Force Attacks – WordPress Codex

If you can’t do the work yourself, consider looking for a reputable person on http://jobs.wordpress.net/ or http://directory.codepoet.com or http://upwork.com (FYI, it’s not a good idea to respond to work offers from forum users.)
